As a family we are far from normal, mum, dad, two boys, one girl, two cats, one dog and a whole load of amusement from every possible angle in life. The genetic journey really is part of our family if not (confirmed) as part of all of us. At the moment, as we start the chromo journey, only myself (dad) and our oldest son are confirmed with a genetic micro-deletion but as we delve deeper we will, hopefully, see if it sits within my other children.

We are a quirky bunch, far from bog-standard but these last few years have done nothing if not thrown a whole host of challenges into a pot and added us to the mix for the fun of it. We will, I hope, grow because of it all.

A (oldest) has the same micro-deletion as myself, T (youngest son) & C (daughter) are as yet unconfirmed however T is showing signs of Autism Spectrum Condition behaviours. It is all through A's journey through life that has led us to this place and the plethora of posts will, I hope, explain that and bring it to life. I myself know where I sit on the proverbial spectrum and I'm comfortable with that. I am adept at masks and am utilising my writing-style to present my human side. In my spare time I write all manner of fiction books under a pseudonym (Tobey Alexander) and someone suggested I turn the fiction to fact and share the chromsomal journey.
